Every day, Latino streamers each have their own unique way of bringing their community together and making us Unidos. Unidos by a shared love for a favorite game. Unidos for charities we’re passionate about. Even Unidos by just chatting about who the strongest anime character is. 

So this Hispanic Heritage Month, let’s come together and celebrate all the ways the Latino Community on Twitch brings us together.

Did you know the Latinx/Hispanic community makes up a significantly small percentage of the gaming space? Join us at TwitchCon this Hispanic Heritage Month as we discuss the intricacies of being part of the Latinx/Hispanic community, the challenges that come with content creation, and how we can continue to grow the community within the gaming space.

Latinx in Gaming is a nonprofit (501c3) organization that elevates Hispanic voices from every corner of the gaming industry. During Hispanic Heritage Month, Latinx in Gaming hosts a three-day virtual charity event called UNIDOS, on their channel to raise funds for educational programs, grants, & scholarship opportunities.

UNIDOS is one part talent show and another part Twitch telethon. During the event, LXiG celebrates the vast talent in the Latine community. Expect engaging segments from developer round tables, to musical performances, game trailers/demos, Let’s Play, dancing/cooking streams, Q&A’s, game jams, networking opportunities, speed runs, and more.

Game Changers Presented by Ally

Twitch Gaming is back with an episode of Game Changers highlighting your favorite Latin American creators from across the Twitch universe. Game Changers is a live one-hour broadcast full of games, special giveaways, snacks, and more. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind crossover event in honor of Latin American & Hispanic streamers and their communities. 

Fundraise for Charity

Looking for ways to make a larger impact this Hispanic Heritage Month? Gather with your communities and empower Latinos globally together through charity fundraising! Not sure where to start? Explore different charities directly impacting and uplifting the Latino community directly on Twitch with our brand new Charity fundraising tool! Available now on your Creator Dashboard, fundraising is made simple:

• Choose your charity: Choose from a large list of registered charities by navigating to the new Charity section on your creator dashboard. You can sort by cause category, country and state!
• Switch on your fundraiser: Once you’ve selected your chosen charity and created your fundraiser, start it up and your viewers can easily make donations to support the charity through your channel.
• Make a difference: Donations are safely and automatically delivered from PayPal Giving Fund to the charity you and your community choose to fundraise for!
